Thank you for visiting my digital portfolio! My name is Jared Fagg and I am an
adaptable designer, programmer and developer in the pursuit of my passions - Video Games & Web Development.
More commonly known for my prowess in Technical Games Design!
Currently awarded with a Bachelor of Digital Design with majors of both Digital Design and Games Design
along with a Diploma of Screen & Media (Games Design). I have skills in both these areas along with
affinities of overall programming, design, problem solving and technology.
Familiar with games development and design, my journey begun several years ago when I was creating game projects
with the unity game engine and can confidently confirm my intermediate level of experience along with developing
aesthetically pleasing websites in my free time. Since then, I have evolved to focus my practice towards Technical
Games Design. Acting as the bridge to connect design and programming.
My greatest passion, being able to provide players with amazing memorable experiences that they can have fun with, admire, role-play, challenge and relax to. Fuelling this passion were experiences such as Final Fantasy, Persona, TEKKEN and Resident Evil. My ultimate goal is to replicate the enjoyment that are those experiences into my own creations and ultimately provide the experiences that certain game studios provided for me.
Logic based digital design is my overall passion in terms of digital design. Being able to create via code plays to both my strengths as a designer who understands user experience and a programmer who naturally understands code. Having said that, I still am familiar with many other areas of digital design. Overall, my goals with digital design is to help assist me in whatever I create in the future whether it is my own intellectual property or part of something bigger.
Game Development is one of my greatest strengths with the breadth of knowlege
and experience I currently have ranging from the fundamentals to the overall
practice. In the future, I endeavor to expand upon my established knowledge and
experience to include my interested areas being learning Godot, Unreal Engine and
C++ & Java programming languages.
Inclusive of the entire workflow from concept to modelling, UV unwrapping,
Texturing, Rigging, Animating, Exporting and Rendering. I am always
passionate and enthusiastic to create 3D art since I consider it to be
one of the best expressions of self and design.
Being a technical games designer has been my calling since I first touched
A game engine. Channeling my creativity and machine-based thought process
into a practice dedicated to feasibly planning streamlined design development
workflows.
I have a diverse range of experience in promoting interactive media
for my own projects and for projects I have worked on in a team. This
responsibility included establishing social media channels, creating
posters & gameplay trailers, refining media listing pages and other
miscellaneous promotion materials.
